Welcome to The MOAST website, a site dedicated to the SSBM scene in Texas.
Here you will find all the information you need regarding upcoming events

wide tournaments like The MOAST.
What is The MOAST you ask? It's The Mother Of All Smash Tournaments of
course. An idea spawned by the d-Krew that's soon to be a reality. A
Smash Tournament in Texas to determine who among us has The MOAST skill.

The details of The MOAST:
What: A team tournament, and a one on one tournament, 10$ entry fee each
When: January 4th, 2003 during the winter break for everybody
Where: The Student Center Club House

Megaton announcement! Ok, so we're all wondering what Nintendo has up its sleeve, but this is bigger, I promise.
The rules of the MOAST have been changed.
Nothing major in terms of Items or Team Attack, but these changes are 100% for the better. Previously, the 1v1 MOAST tournament was double-elimination. We have decided that nobody wants to come and risk losing twice and being out, so we have adopted a much more fair method of elimination. For a full explanation, check out the rules page.
Basically, we will now be using a round-robin pool system. All of the competitors will be divided into 2-4 pools, depending on attendence. Then, you will play 1 game against everyone in your pool. This means you are guaranteed between 6 and 8 matches. Once the round robin is complete, we will take the top 8 (or 16) players and place them into a double elimination.
So, I personally promise you that, well, this will rock. If you're new to the Smash community, you are now guaranteed to meet many new people. So don't let anything hold you back, because combined with a triple-digit
